The Irobot Roomba is a new innovative cleaning robot that cleans differently than the way most people clean their floors. The robot uses its intelligence to efficiently clean the whole floor, under and around furniture and along walls. Roomba calculates the optimal cleaning path as it cleans and determines when to use one of his four cleaning behaviors.
He takes about 45 minutes to clean an average room and will pass over the same area of the floor more than once. To let Roomba clean faster and to ensure best performance, you can clear your floor of clutter and use a virtual wall to keep Roomba in one room. This virtual wall creates an invisible barrier that Roomba will not cross. He disposes of a voice demonstration that accompanies you while using Roomba.
The robot works on carpet, tile, wood and vinyl, and will automatically adjust to different floor types. At the end of a cleaning cycle or when its battery is running low, Roomba returns to his home base. He needs to find the infrared signal of the home base in order to return. So you don't have to look after it, he will always find his way home.
At home we have a cleaning IRobot and we couldn't live without it anymore! I really like the concept of it. Roomba gives you a chance to spend your time on more enjoyable and important tasks and this is his major advantage. For example, while he is cleaning, my mother can go shopping. Because he takes his time for cleaning, he cleans very tidy, much better when people do it. A normal vacuum cleaner weigh much, Roomba doesn't. So you don't have to trail no longer. The IRobot has a weight of 3,8 kg. Because of all its advantages, I think everyone who doesn't have much time, have to buy this innovative product. The fact he works on his own, is a gift from God! I hope that in the future more of those innovative products will be founded.

I like the IRobot Roomba. It’s an efficient innovation. Because the vacuum cleaner already exists from 1900. But this one cleans itself. So this robot is very interesting for people who don’t have much time or who don’t like cleaning.
ReplyDeleteAt our place, we also have a special vacuum cleaner. We only need a hose ( a flexible tube) that we can put in different holes, spread around our house. So actually the dirt and dust goes through tubes in our walls, to our garage where it is stored. Those tubes in our walls were placed when our house was built 5 years ago.
So this kind of vacuum cleaner is also easy to use because you don’t have to sweep away the machine behind you.
But I know that the vacuum cleaner robot of Mieke is a totally different concept. Because this vacuum cleaner works totally independent. That’s why this robot is great!
